EXPERIENCE NATURE at its Finest in the Nature and Adventure Park Buchenberg Waidhofen/Ybbs

The Top Attraction is located directly outside the town of Waidhofen/Ybbs.
Nature and Adventure Park Buchenberg: Small adventure – very large

  • Experience native wild animals up close.
  • Large accessible pet area.
  • Mythical owl forest, primeval forest habitat with wolf, lynx and wildcat.
  • Straw castle, giant trampoline and go-cart track.
  • Austria’s largest forest climbing park with over 90 stations.
  • Extra long Flying Fox Parcours over the Adventure Playground.

Animal Park   (No dogs allowed):

Visitors can freely access our large owl enclosures and discover wolves, lynxes and wildcats from close range – well camouflaged in their natural environment. You can observe lively raccoons, clever foxes and lazy raccoon dogs as storks and herons strut among the visitors. You also get the chance to experience donkeys, goats, alpacas, miniature ponies and sheep up close in the pet area.

Watching the rheas and mini pigs is an exciting adventure for our little visitors. Rabbits, guinea pigs, forest sheep, spectacled sheep, donkeys and geese invite you to watch.

In his “Forest Home”, Ossi shows you everything you need to know about his “forest friends” in a funny, entertaining and experience-oriented form. You can seek out and follow the tracks of local wild animals, watch foxes in their underground den, listen to a quiz about animal sounds, imitate the howling of a wolf and experience mystical and enigmatic adventures in the mythical owl forest.

At the “Jagasteig” we learn all about the importance of the topics of wildlife and nature.

For our little visitors, there are other great options to romp and play – from the rope climbing ball to the swinging seesaw – at the Adventure Playground next to the Naturpark-haus (Nature Park House).

Buchenberg Forest Climbing Park:

An exciting journey of discovery – experience forest space from a new perspective! The Buchenberg Forest Climbing Park offers climbing fun for those over 110 cm. An accompanying person is required with visitors smaller than 130 cm. Visitors can prove their talent in Austria’s largest Forest Climbing Park with 9 different courses and over 90 stations. The “Flying Zip Line Parcours” with its 10 stations is the park’s top highlight.
