Let’s Journey into the Wonderland of Gardening Imagination

The Kittenberger Theme Gardens combine extraordinary Show Gardens with a cosy garden restaurant and the opportunity for visitors to gather inspiration for their own gardens.  Numerous events and functions complete our offer.

Show Gardens
More than 40 Show Gardens – covering an area of over 5 hectares – invite young and old alike to discover the natural treasures, and spend a relaxing day no matter what time of the year. Thousands of spring flowers bloom in the spring, the blossoming sea of dahlias follows hot on the heels of the rose blossom in early summer, pleasing the eye of the beholder until autumn.

Our Adventure Garden and Animal Farm Garden are a highlight for children in particular. Whether whizzing down the Adrenaline Slide Tower, rafting, attempting the climbing wall or the adventure course, young guests are often busy for hours. The Animal Farm Garden, located right next to the Adventure Garden, is home to a pygmy goat family, rabbits, guinea pigs, ponies and 4 alpacas. Here, children and adults can learn how to handle animals in a gentle way and also get up close at feeding times. And those who have always wanted to see kangaroos, and find out how far they can jump, will be amazed by the Waldviertel Kangaroo Garden Paradise.

During Advent Magic:  2 November – 23 December the Kittenberger Adventure Gardens shine with the glow of 400,000 lights, turning the pre-Christmas Season into an unforgettable experience.

Events & Functions
Numerous events and functions such as concerts, exhibitions and Garden Design Days iinvite young and old throughout the year to spend exciting hours in the Kittenberger Adventure Gardens. A highlight in summer is the Children’s Musical Ritter Rost (Sir Rusty) – young guests can expect a colourful programme of activities with make-up, handicrafts and a lot of games and fun in the Adventure Garden.

After an excellent start in 2013 and great successes in the summers of 2014 – 2017, the LOWER AUSTRIAN CHILDREN’S MUSICAL SUMMER will enter its 6th season in 2018 with another adventure from Sir Rusty and his friends.

Musical Director Werner Auer (known for his work at the Felsenbühne Staatz, Lower Austrian Theatre Festival) and the dedicated team of the LOWER AUSTRIAN CHILDREN’S MUSICAL SUMMER will take to the stage with another thrilling and entertaining Sir Rusty adventure:
RITTER ROST FEIERT WEIHNACHTEN (Sir Rusty Celebrates Christmas). It will be shown on one of the most beautiful open air stages in Lower Austria, in the centre of the Kittenberger Adventure Gardens, in Schiltern by Langenlois
