MS Austria – the grand white elegant lady and her “stylish” companion ms austria princess. Now, the two ships have a new port.

Almost 30 years ago, we welcomed MS Austria as “Cinderella” from the former state fleet. Barbara Brandner and her team made a Queen out of her. A golden crown on the wheelhouse, the inscription “Joy of Life” on the bow – that’s how she traveled along the Danube for 28 years under the BRANDNER flag. With the offering of stylish liner and charter trips, the two BRANDNER ships were top excursion destinations – from the very beginning. BRANDNER Schiffahrt is also a proud and active founding member of the initiative top excursion destinations.

We thank more than 3 million guests, the crews of both ships on land and water, and our partners without whom our truly “great journey” would not have been possible.

It’s hard to let them go – knowing that many things will be very different now. In my mind’s eye, the two will continue – in that dignity and strength that I have had with them over all these years.
Everything created, everything that was set on the Danube with “my two beauties” will always be an integral part of the development history of Danube tourism in Lower Austria .

Now we pause and treat ourselves to an inspiring shore leave. “With our noses in the wind,” we turn our gaze to the sky and set sail “for new shores” at the right time.
